I am not sure of the original purpose of this moose, but over the years, we've used it as a pencil holder or just a general catch-all. It is a very heavy material which I would assume is ceramic. It measures approximately 5" in height and 6" in width. It is very thick and reminds me of Treasure Craft pottery. It is not marked and not Treasure Craft. 1940 issue by David Ashley, Inc. N.Y.C. The print is signed by A.Pingot, which I think would be Henri Auguste Pingot. I have not found his date of birth, but he passed away in 1870. This particular print is 306 in the series of Victorian Ladies Prints. I do not know if this is the original frame, but it has not been framed in the last 20 years, while in my possession.
