Ellis Island Box

It is backstamped Royal Goedewaagen. Genuine blue delft or so states the writing on the bottom. This box was issued to commemorate Ellis Island. There are even little table rests molded into the bottom which makes it less likely to scratch all of the writing on the bottom. I did not call it a trinket box because it almost seems a bit large for one, but I suppose it could be called one. It measures over 5" across the rounded body and it is approximately 2" in height, including the lid which is a cap fit. The decorated lid is just amazing, there is such detailing to the faces of the people and buildings.
