Vintage Wrought Iron Stool

I bought this stool at an estate sale, where it had been used for a workshop stool. I believe it had originally been an old soda fountain stool which at one time had a wooden seat. Someone had taken some type of metal and welded it down and around the rim. It is rather crude in the way it was done, yet it is quite smooth with no rough or sharp edges. There is a bit of paint spilled in spots on the seat and a few drops on the legs. It probably could be cleaned off, or if one wished, it could be repainted. I originally bought it for a plant stand, but none of my plants ever lived long enough to display them, so just used it for a stool. Actually, it is quite comfortable as a seat and would look nice with a homemade tie-on cushion. It does look really great with a fern. I am not sure of the age and don't feel comfortable dating it. Photos by email. I need your zip code to calculate the postage.
