Glucklich Spring Song Print
The frame measures approximately 17 3/4 x 13 3/4 inches and the exposed print measures approximately 15 1/2 x 12 inches, but it is probable that the print measures very close to the frame measurements. From what I can learn about this print, it was available for sale in mail order catalogs in the late 1920's and 30's. I have seen it in different, more ornate frames and in some the actual dimensions of the figures are spaced differently. I have also read that the artist painted it two times, one with the little girl (his daughter, who was blind) with her eyes open and one with them closed. The original hanging loops are present, but the wire is missing. The frame has a nail on the top, as if it had been used to hold it together. There are a few places where the gold paint is missing (mostly where does not show) but because the frame has developed such an aged patina it just blends together. The glass is in fine condition, although it is a soiled on the inside. The print has several areas of loss of ink, and complete condition photos are available by email. I need your zip code to calculate the postage.
