Lighthouse Glass Paperweight

I am not sure if this is a paperweight, bookend or what. It is hand cast. If you will notice in the center, there is a 1/3" recessed area, and I am not sure if there is a purpose for this. I bought it about 3 years ago, just because it was beautiful, but as it was not new when purchased, I am not sure of it's age. Lighthouse Glass is still listed as in operation, although since Katrina, they may not be. It is approximately 7 1/2 inches in height and 6 1/2 inches in width and weighs 6 pounds. There is no damage and the original label is on the back. I will be happy to provide additional photos upon request. I need your zip code to calculate the postage.
