No manufacturing information and do not know the metal composition. There is a circle with something stamped inside, but can't make out the symbol. The marcasite is limited to the letter. It is 1 5/8 inches in height. No damage to the finish. The catch is secure, but is slightly off center but works just fine. Please email for additional photos or information.
