Brass Alter Candlesticks

Vintage brass candle holders. These have always reminded me of altar candlesticks due to their size. They are 14 inches in height and weigh close to 3 pounds (each). The base is octagon shaped. They are not marked as solid, but certainly look and feel like solid brass, and since I've had them packed away for almost 10 years in my dampish basement and show no damage, I would think they would be solid.
