Spongeware Chicken Salt & Pepper

Wish I knew the history of this rooster and hen salt and pepper set. I've had them for 3 or 4 years and bought them used. I never really thought about the manufacturer or age - just bought them to enjoy. Now that I must sell the set, I find that I don't know much about them. I don't think they are particularly old or if they could even be vintage. They have plastic stoppers. The rooster is 3" in height and the hen is 2 1/2" in height. There are no chips, cracks, breaks or roughness. The bottom of the hen is stained from pepper being left in too long (previous owner). I will provide detailed photos by email.
