Vintage Crockery Bowl

I've had this set for many years, but still don't know much about it and I am not even sure if this lid was made to go with it. This is the way it was sold to me. I don't know the original purpose, and the only one I've ever seen similar was on the Two Fat Ladies cooking program. Boy, do I miss seeing them. I used to get up early on Sat. mornings, make a pot of coffee, turn them on and enjoy. Sadly, Jennifer passed away in 1999. Back to the business at hand. With the lid in place, it measures 3 1/2" in height and 5 1/2" in width. The interior and upper exterior is glazed. The lid and the lower exterior are unfinished. I can't give a date of manufacture and it is unmarked. No chips, cracks or breaks. I will provide additional photos by email. I need your zip code to calculate the postage.
