Vintage paring knife marked as Vernco Stainless Japan and The Vernon Company, Newton, Iowa. It is 6 1/2 inches in length and the blade is 2 3/4 inches in length. Structurally, there is no damage, but there are superficial usage marks on the blade (actually, I think they came from being moved around in the knife drawer).
