At 9 1/2" High and 7" wide this Colonial Blue Large Covered Compote in the Thumbprint pattern was made in the 1960's by the Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. This piece is known as the #4484 CB Anniversary Bowl. Fenton made this thumbprint pattern as a reproduction of Argus, the early American pattern made in the 1800's by the Bakewell, Pears Company in Pittsburgh. The condition is good. Made by the Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia in the 1990's this exquisite pair are hand painted and signed by the individual artists. They stand 7 1/2" High, 6" wide.
