BEAUTIFUL COLOR ON THIS MCCOY VASE -- IT'S A RICH BURGUNDY! MADE IN THE 1940'S, THIS IS THE SMALLER VERSION OF MCCOY'S 12" FLOOR VASE THAT'S LISTED AS #11 OF HANSON'S TOP 100 MCCOY COLLECTIBLES. VASE MEASURES 8 1/4" TALL, DECORATIVELY SHAPED WITH SIMPLE STYLING. UNMARKED. HAS NO CRACKS, NO CRAZING -- ONLY "USE" EVIDENCE IS A 3/16" GLAZE CHIP ON LOWER PART OF ONE "HANDLE" -- THAT'S IT! VASE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN VERY PAMPERED.

I have had many requests to sell the McCoy Butterfly line items in my collection. I have enjoyed displaying these items for many years and am now beginning to list them – all the newly listed Butterfly items are from my collection – vases, flower pot, a small jardinière, and planters. I didn’t realize I had so many Butterfly pieces until I decided to sell them! This is the last item I’m listing in this update but there are more that I will list later.

This listing has a beautiful McCoy vase from the butterfly line of the early 1940’s! This is the castle gate vase and is a gorgeous pastel lilac color.

Vase was early from the mold and has clear, detailed design/pattern. It is in super condition with no “use” evidence.

There are some production “pin-pops” on rim edge and a fired-on teeny pottery flake on lower portion of vase – none are detrimental in any way; they are simply McFlaws.

Planter measures 6” x 8 ½” and bottom has the overlapping NM mark.

It has no chips, no cracks, minor crazing – very clean. Super addition to a collection!

This listing has a McCoy flowerpot with attached drip saucer! It’s from the pretty Butterfly Line and is white with semi-matte over-glaze. Flowerpot measures 3 ¾” tall, 3 ¾” diameter, and bottom is marked NM (overlapping), USA. It has heavy glaze and the mold detail is not as crisp as some of the other pieces I’ve listed. This is indeed a find – a hanging basket planter from McCoy’s butterfly line of the early 1940s!

Although produced as a hanging planter, it is also free-standing.

Planter photos may appear pink (depending on your monitor) but it is actually a lovely pale lilac color (listed as lavender in reference books). It measures 4 1/8” tall, 6 3/8” diameter, and bottom is marked NM, USA.

It is an ivy (or squat) vase and is in the pretty blue color.

Vase has no “use” evidence, actually appears to be unused.

It has some typical McFlaws -- production pin-pops on the rim edge and there’s a ¼” flake-off at rim that received color and is definitely production.

This listing has a beautiful blue planter from McCoy's Butterfly Line of the 1940s!

Planter measures 8 1/2" long, 3 3/4" wide, and 3 1/4" tall. It is in excellent condition -- no chips, no dings, no cracks, only very minor age crazing.

Planter appears to have never been used as a planter and has obviously always been pampered!

McCoy's Butterfly Line is definitely one of their prettiest pottery lines -- this listing has the large fernery planter!

It is a soft matte blue color and measures 3 1/4" tall, 8 1/4" long, and 3 1/2" wide.

Planter measures 3 ¼” tall, 8 ¼” long, 3 ¾” wide and is marked with the overlapping NM, USA (difficult to see due to glaze fill-in but it is there).

It’s in wonderful condition with minor craze marks and a couple bottom interior, slightly dark spots (under the glaze and not detrimental).

There are so many variances in McCoy pottery items that you cannot simply state that a particular item cannot be a McCoy piece because of the glaze, etc. This is one of those pieces and it has been a part of my personal McCoy collection for well over 20 years.

This one is the small jardiniere (planter), measures 3” tall, 3 ½” diameter, and bottom is marked with overlapping NM, USA.

This listing has a lovely McCoy vase from the butterfly line of the early 1940s!

Vase measures 6 1/4" tall and is a pretty aqua color with matte over-glaze.

This vase has definite charm and character -- the halves are joined together just a tad off-center! The mold lines are, of course, obvious. There are 4 small glaze skips on side. All these are production McFlaws!

It measures 6” tall and has the overlapping NM mark on bottom.

Vase is somewhat unusual in that it has a shiny over-glaze – most items from the Butterfly line have a matte finish.

The vase is in wonderful condition with no “use” evidence.
