Purchased at an Indiana estate sale, this is a very special nativity set! Each piece is stamped Germany and the pieces are small. There are 3 Wisemen (2 5/8”, 2 5/8”, 2 ¾”), 1 shepherd (2 5/8”), 1 cow (2 1/8” long, 1 ¼” tall, ¾” wide), 2 sheep (1 ½” long, 5/8” tall, ½” wide, the other is 1 3/8” long, ¾” tall, ½” wide). The Holy Family – Mary is 2 ½” tall, Joseph is 2 ¾” tall, Baby Jesus is 1 ¼” long and, at one time, appears to have been glued to the little manger. I have collected vintage Christmas items for years and I have never seen these little trees – I found these at an Indiana estate sale! There are 6 trees in the listing, measure 5” tall, and are made of a nylon material stretched over wire edges so they can be shaped. The wood disc bases are stamped Japan and each tree has a glass bead topper. Very unusual!
