This colorful McCoy cookie jar is in excellent condition! It’s a bright yellow pepper shaped cookie jar and bottom is marked: 157, McCoy, Lancaster Colony (mark), USA. Super!!
Although not in perfect condition, I purchased this McCoy cookie jar because of the unusual coloring! McCoy’s yellow apple cookie jars normally have a pink/peach color “blush” accent coloring – this jar has more blush than usually found. In fact, it would appear as if the yellow color is the accent color – please see photos. This is a pretty and usable McCoy strawberry cookie jar! As with so many of these particular shaped jars, this one is not perfect and has been priced accordingly. The lid has a 1/8” glaze ding on top of one leaf tip, there are a couple tips with teeny dings or glaze rubs (couldn’t be certain), and there is one leaft tip that has been broken and re-glued. This is a super McCoy cookie jar – it’s the Coke can cookie jar! Measures 9 ¾” tall (to rim) and bottom is marked 1003, USA. It has a couple teeny flecks of missing red color – that’s it!
Produced in 1961, this is McCoy’s Dalmations cookie jar! Bottom is marked McCoy, USA. Cookie jar is in wonderful condition but is not perfect and is priced accordingly. It has a slice type chip (1 ¼” x ½”) at bottom base that prior owner color “touched up” – it is not glaringly noticeable. Please see photos.
This is the more difficult to find McCoy owl cookie jar made only in 1976! The jar measures 7 ¼” tall to rim, 8 ½” tall from bottom of jar to tip of lid handle. Bottom is marked: 219, McCoy, Lancaster Colony (mark), USA. It is in super condition – there is a teeny 1/16” ding on inner rim where lid rests – that’s it!
McCoy’s basket cookie jars are so neat – this one is the basket of eggs! The jar “basket” is bright yellow, the lid “eggs” are white, and both pieces have shiny overglaze. Marked on bottom: 0274, McCoy, Lancaster Colony (mark), USA and is in wonderful condition. Has some typical production flaws – few dots of color under the glaze – not detrimental in any way! This is a neat McCoy cookie jar – a large white rooster! He’s in wonderful condition with minor color wear on his comb and he has a couple production McFlaws on front (see photo). The paint is cold paint and it easily “slips” if immersed in water. There are two brush “hairs” in the red color indicating paint “touch-up” but I’m not certain because I had one of these jars several years ago and it also had a brush “hair” in the red color! This listing has McCoy’s cookie pot cookie jar in pretty aqua color! Measures 11 ¾” tall (bottom to top of lid), bottom is marked USA, and it’s in wonderful condition. It has a production flaw at bottom base – a small flake-off that received color and glaze – and the jar rim has a small non-color/glaze. Both are production and are not detrimental. Colorful addition to a collection!
Excellent condition McCoy cookie jar! This is the “Coca-Cola” cookie jar, measures 9 ¼” tall, and is in the original box. Super collectible and a great addition to a McCoy or Coke collection!
