This hat box is so neat! I think you can see the label in photo – it has “THE HUB, HENRY LEVY & SONS, 427-429 Main Street, Evansville, Indiana, Men’s Hats and Furnishings”. Isn’t that just the greatest? Hats and Furnishings!
I purchased this hatbox several years ago at a sale in, you guessed it, Evansville, Indiana. Hatbox is made of lightweight cardboard covered with tan color paper. It shows some evidence of age and use but not bad when you consider its’ age! It has som...

I purchased this unusual feed sack at an estate sale in Indiana! It has a design of blue gingham accented with green baskets filled with yellow and white flowers.
There is a solid green border but if you will look closely at the photo, you will see there is a printed “cutting or sewing line” just below the scallops!
Wouldn’t this make an adorable summer dress for a little girl? So easy to make and so cute!

I purchased this lovely vintage embroidered sampler at an estate sale many years ago. I have laundered, lightly starched and ironed it and I find this is a very nice collectible item.
The material used is from a plain feed sack and is muslin/off-white color. It measures 16 ¼” long and 10 ½” wide. The hem is hand done with a straight stitch.
The embroidery is definitely free-hand, no stamped pattern/design and definitely not a kit. The stars are done in what looks to me to ...

This postcard listing has a wharf scene in Louisville, Kentucky – look at those cars – wow, worth a fortune today!! (Sorry, I got side-tracked.)
Postcard has this on the back “Wharf Scene, Ohio River, Louisville, Kentucky” and this description “This view of the Louisville Levee, shows the U.S. Coast Guard Station, established in 1881, the only inland River Coast Guard Station in the country. In the background is the Penn. R.R. Bridge. Louisville was founded in 1779 by General...

I have decided to list some ornaments from my personal collection – I have collected vintage glass ornaments over 40 years – time to part with some and let others enjoy them as I have for so long.
This listing is as I purchased it at an estate sale. There are 5 absolutely beautiful West Germany indent/reflectors and one Poland. The Poland is the one with pink color dots around the inside edge.
All ornaments (especially the West Germany) are of thin, delicate glass and the ...

Another group of ornaments from my extensive Christmas ornament collection! There are 6 in this listing and they are in the original box! These were made for and sold by Sears – box has label “Sears, Stock Number 93345, Selling Price (blank), Sears, Roebuck & Co, Chicago, ILL”.
These ornaments are a larger size and they all have West Germany stamped on their metal caps. They have some normal color separations – nothing drastic and not at all detrimental to these absolutely beaut...

I began collecting these very thin glass reflector ornaments many years ago. I came across this box of ornaments while sorting through my inventory a few weeks ago. Whenever I would find one of these ornaments, I would just add them to this box which is why there are 16 ornaments in this listing.
We have taken several photos for your review – ornaments are as I purchased them. There are a couple with purple color backs and the color is separating, a couple of the reflectors/indents h...

All Items : Head Vases : Pre 1960
item #1341046
(stock #CH1627)
This listing has two gorgeous and somewhat rare Christmas lady head vases! They were made by Holt Howard and are dated 1959.
Vases measure 3” tall and both ladies have the original Christmas "ornament" glass earrings that are so often missing or broken. If you look closely, you can see that one of the earring "chains" has been replaced with a wire. Both ladies also wear the original "faux" pearl necklaces.
Both vases are in super condition with no chips or cracks.
A rare find indeed!
This listing has McCoy’s difficult to find strawberry jar that was made only 2 years, 1955-57! The jar bottoms are occasionally found but usually without lids or the lids usually have damage to the leaf tips – this jar has NO dings, no chips, no cracks to the lid or the jar bottom!
The bottom is not red, it is more of a gorgeous mauve color and the lid is dark green color with both pieces having a clear over-glaze.
Bottom is marked McCoy, USA.
This is an exception...

This listing has an excellent condition McCoy yellow mums vase! It measures 8” tall and bottom is marked McCoy.
Vase has a production fired-on pottery flake inside – of no consequence and absolutely not detrimental – the vase has been extremely pampered, it looks new and unused!

This listing has a McCoy poodle planter that captures the hauteur of a perfectly “coiffed” poodle!
Made in 1955, planter is black, measures 7” x 7 ½”, and bottom is marked McCoy, USA.
Poodle still retains some of the original yellow cold paint accents. It is in excellent condition – no chips, dings, or cracks – always pampered!

I purchased these rather rare Shiny-Brite angels many years ago for my personal vintage Christmas collection. I never displayed them – actually just came across them on a shelf where I put them when purchased.
These angels are too nice and too difficult to find to not be enjoyed and appreciated so I’m listing them for sale.
The angels are in the original Shiny-Brite box. The cellophane cover has split in two places with one being taped/repaired; the other has not.

This is a very pretty feed sack – white background covered with blue rosebuds with green stems and leaves!
Feed sack has been opened and measures 36 ½” x 40”. It has been laundered by prior owner(s) and has the softness that only cotton attains with laundering.
Feed sack has some flaws – it has a ½” hole located 2” from edge and a larger 5 ½” tear located 2 ½” from edge. These flaws are located close to one another and also close to fabric edges so there is ...
