NEEDLE THREADER IN NEW AND UNUSED CONDITION! THIS IS THE RED AND WHITE PLASTIC MODEL -- I REMEMBER MY GRANDMOTHER USING ONE ON HER "MENDING" DAY. THE BOX HAS PRINTED ON BACK: "MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY, GERMAN AND FOREIGN PATENTS". THIS IS COLLECTIBLE FOR THE NEEDLE THREADER AS WELL AS FOR THE BOX.
This is such a neat towel – I originally purchased it to embroider for my linen collection. Please see photo for details – the towel doesn’t require a lot of embroidery because the “private eye” is apparently invisible. Towel has original price tag of 39 cents from S.S. Kresge Co.
This feed sack has an unusual pattern with very pretty colors! It has a white background with beautifully detailed flowers and leaves that are in two shades of purple. The flowers could be morning glories or cornflowers and they are light and dark purple color. Feed sack has been opened and measures 36” x 42”. I have laundered and ironed it and found it to be in wonderful condition. There is a 1/8” x 1/8” thread separation/snag in one flower.
These are neat retro patterns! The Butterick pattern is size 16 (bust 36), one Simplicity pattern is also size 16 and the other is size 16 ½ (Half-size Slenderette)! They have been used/cut but carefully handled, folded and stored in original envelope.
I have 3 of these Kinkade stocking kits! They’re the “Sunday Evening Sleigh Ride”, kit No. 51102. These are embellished cross stitch kits and per package, the finished size is 12" x 17". Also per package, "kit contains: design printed in full color on 14-count polyester/cotton Aida cloth, 100% cotton floss, decorative threads, needle, chart, and easy-to-follow instructions". Packages have not been opened.

I’ve grouped these two sewing items into one listing -- there’s a neat tatting shuttle and a thimble! The shuttle is green plastic and was made by “The Boye Needle Co, Chicago”. It’s in very good condition with some places that appear to have been caused by a hot needle – probably checking to see if it was Bakelite (it’s not). The thimble is stamped “10, Germany”. Neat items!
VERY NICE SEWING AIDS -- LISTING HAS 2 DARNERS MADE OF WOOD! ONE IS 5 3/4" LONG (HAS A SHORTER HANDLE -- 3") AND END IS MORE OBLONG IN SHAPE. THE OTHER IS 7" LONG (HANDLE IS 4 1/2" LONG) AND THE END IS MORE ROUND (ALMOST EGG SHAPE).
WOW -- MAKE YOUR OWN RUGS WITH THESE GREAT TOOLS! IN THE ORIGINAL ENVELOPE PACKAGE AND WITH ORIGINAL INSTRUCTION SHEET, THERE ARE 3 METAL BRAIDING TOOLS AND 1 METAL LACER. PER PACKAGE -- "NO SEWING, NO ROUGH EDGES, BRAID A RUG IN A DAY -- USE YOUR OLD CLOTHES. RUGS WILL BE REVERSIBLE -- RUGS WILL ALWAYS LIE FLAT". THESE ARE NOT NEW ITEMS -- AT THE BOTTOM OF THE INSTRUCTION SHEET IS AN OFFER FOR NEW WOOLEN STRIPPINGS THAT WERE AVAILABLE FROM THE "RUGMAKER, DES MOINES 16, IOWA". NEAT RETRO ITEMS!
Made by American Thread Company, these are vintage “Ring a Round o’ Crochet” hemstitched circles along with an instruction/pattern pamphlet! The material measures 11” x 12 ¼” and there are 36 circles. The pamphlet has instructions for preparing the circles for crochet and there are instructions for Irish Crochet design, Medallion design, “Daintee” design, Spider design, etc. The pamphlet shows a copyright date of 1941...
This is another very colorful feed sack with a pretty pattern! It has been laundered, pressed, and is in wonderful condition. Feed sack has been incorrectly opened – I’m not certain how it occurred but it has an almost diagonal type seam/opening resulting in a “non-square”. It measures 47 ½” long and 38” wide but remember it’s not even/square. Do not be deterred – this is a very pretty piece of vintage material.

We have listed many lovely and unusual feed sacks (and have many more to list) but this one is by far the most unusual! It has a purple/lilac color background and the design is alphabet letters U, V, W, X, Y, and Z!!
Interspersed throughout the feed sack are the letters V and X – they are white letters outlined in black and are interspersed with pretty white flowers with yellow centers.
The letters U, W, Y, and Z are yellow inside white squares and show an animal for thos...
