This is a neat item – a sewing basket made by Hommer Manufacturing Company of Newark, N.J.! It’s in wonderful condition and still has the insert tray – super collectible and a useful item.
These are neat retro patterns! The Butterick pattern is size 16 (bust 36), one Simplicity pattern is also size 16 and the other is size 16 ½ (Half-size Slenderette)! They have been used/cut but carefully handled, folded and stored in original envelope.
I’ve grouped these two sewing items into one listing -- there’s a neat tatting shuttle and a thimble! The shuttle is green plastic and was made by “The Boye Needle Co, Chicago”. It’s in very good condition with some places that appear to have been caused by a hot needle – probably checking to see if it was Bakelite (it’s not). The thimble is stamped “10, Germany”. Neat items!
This is a neat retro item – a clothes brush with zippered compartment that contains a mini sewing kit, tweezers, etc! Inside is stamped “Made in Germany for Rosenfeld”. The top is decorated with a poodle and flowers. In excellent condition – the poodle is decorated with white seed beads and a few are missing – that’s it!
Lovely and unusual pattern on this vintage feed sack! It has a white background with a pattern of green clovers and blue flowers – very pretty. Feed sack has been opened and measures approximately 37” x 42”. It has been laundered and pressed, I did not bleach or pre-soak and I notice it has a couple rust color dots. Feed sack is in wonderful condition with a couple small holes/snags.
This feed sack has an almost Victorian design and is somewhat unusual in that it has a colored background rather than white! It’s a pale yellow with the pattern having dark gold, light gray, and black colors – very pretty. Feed sack has been opened and measures 35 ½” x 46”. It has been laundered, pressed, and is in wonderful condition.
Doesn’t this feed sack have an unusual pattern? It has a white background that’s almost completely covered with little blue diamonds, beige squares, and lime green color rectangles. Feed sack has been opened and measures 37” x 46”. Laundered, pressed, and in wonderful condition – I noticed a few stretched holes from the original heavy thread at top closure. Nice!
This is another very colorful feed sack with a pretty pattern! It has been laundered, pressed, and is in wonderful condition. Feed sack has been incorrectly opened – I’m not certain how it occurred but it has an almost diagonal type seam/opening resulting in a “non-square”. It measures 47 ½” long and 38” wide but remember it’s not even/square. Do not be deterred – this is a very pretty piece of vintage material.
