This is a very pretty McCoy flowerpot from the butterfly line of the 1940’s! Flowerpot is a matte pastel aqua color, measures 3 5/8” tall, 3 ¾” diameter. Marked with overlapping NM, and USA. In wonderful condition with only “use” evidence being a ¾” superfine and tight interior hairline – like a pencil mark or a craze! Very nice addition to a collection.
This listing has a very nice vase from McCoy’s Butterfly line! It measures 6” tall and has the overlapping NM mark on bottom. Vase is somewhat unusual in that it has a shiny overglaze – most items from the Butterfly line have a matte finish. The vase is in wonderful condition with no “use” evidence but does have some typical production flaws. The side mold lines/seams are pronounced and the vase has some tiny pin-pops in the glaze – nothing detrimental, just typical McFlaws!
I have had many requests to sell the McCoy Butterfly line items in my collection. I have enjoyed displaying these items for many years and am now beginning to list them – all the newly listed Butterfly items are from my collection – vases, flower pot, a small jardinière, and planters...

This listing has a beautiful McCoy vase form the butterfly line of the early 1940’s! This is the castle gate vase and is a gorgeous pastel lilac color. Vase was early from the mold and has clear, detailed design/pattern. It is in super condition with no “use” evidence. There are some production “pin-pops” on rim edge and a fired-on teeny pottery flake on lower portion of vase – none are detrimental in any way...

This listing has a fernery planter from McCoy’s butterfly line of the early 1940’s! planter is a pretty matte green color, measures 5 5/8” long, 3 ¼” wide, 2 ¾” tall, and bottom is marked with overlapping NM, USA. Planter has no evidence of “use” – there is a non-color/glaze on one side that is production and of no consequence. Neat item!

This listing has a McCoy flowerpot with attached drip saucer! It’s from the pretty Butterfly Line and is white with semi-matte over-glaze. Flowerpot measures 3 ¾” tall, 3 ¾” diameter, and bottom is marked NM (overlapping), USA. It has heavy glaze and the mold detail is not as crisp as some of the other pieces I’ve listed. It has been used as intended (by prior owner) and has stained interior crazing at the rim, there is crazing on exterior, and a couple glaze-pops (production)...

This is a find – a hanging basket planter from McCoy’s butterfly line of the early 1940’s! Although produced as a hanging planter, it is also free-standing. Planter is the pretty “lavender” (pale lilac) color, measures 4 1/8” tall, 6 3/8” diameter, and bottom is marked NM, USA. It is in excellent condition for its age with a few typical production pin-pops/flake-offs – nothing detrimental or worthy of mention...
Another McCoy Butterfly line item from my collection. This one is an ivy (or squat) vase and is in the pretty blue color. Vase has no “use” evidence, actually appears to be unused. It does have production pin-pops on the rim edge and there’s a ¼” flake-off at rim that received color and is definitely production. A super item!

Excellent condition McCoy planter (fern box)! This one is from the butterfly line of the early 1940’s and is a pretty white color. Planter measures 6” x 8 ½” and bottom has the overlapping NM mark. It has no chips, no cracks, minor crazing – very clean. Super addition to a collection!

This listing has a lovely blue fernery planter from McCoy’s butterfly line! Planter measures 3 ¼” tall, 8 ¼” long, 3 ¾” wide and is marked with the overlapping NM, USA (difficult to see due to glaze fill-in but it is there). It’s in wonderful condition with minor craze marks and a couple bottom interior, slightly dark spots (under the glaze and not detrimental). Very pretty item.

This listing has a McCoy Butterfly line small fern box! It’s in the pretty blue color and has excellent mold detail. Measures 5” long, 2” tall, 3 5/8” wide and bottom is marked NM (overlapping), USA. Excellent condition and is from my collection.
There are so many variances in McCoy pottery items that you cannot simply state that a particular item cannot be a McCoy piece because of the glaze, etc. This is one of those pieces and it has been a part of my personal McCoy collection for over 20 years. It is the small jardinière (planter) from the Butterfly line of the 1940s. It measures 2 ¾” tall, 3 ¼” diameter, and bottom has overlapping NM (mark), USA...
Another McCoy item from the lovely Butterfly line! This one is the small jard (or planter), measures 3” tall, 3 ½” diameter, and bottom is marked NM (overlapping), USA. Jardinière is the very pretty lavender color (I think it more a lilac color) and has crisp, clean mold detail. It has some minor interior crazing – no “use” evidence of any king – super item from my collection.
This listing has a 6” Butterfly vase in the lovely aqua color with semi-matte over-glaze. Bottom is marked NM (overlapping), USA. Vase has excellent mold detail – very crisp – and is in excellent condition. There is very, very light interior staining and some crazing. There are a couple dings on the bottom dry (setting) ring – that’s it! You will not be disappointed with this vase, it is one of the nicest I’ve found.
LOVELY MCCOY VASE FROM THE BUTTERFLY LINE OF THE EARLY 1940's! MEASURES 6 1/4" TALL AND IS IN A PRETTY AQUA COLOR WITH MATTE GLAZE. VASE HAS DEFINITE CHARM AND CHARACTER -- THE HALVES ARE JOINED TOGETHER JUST A TAD OFF-CENTER! THE MOLD LINES ARE, OF COURSE, OBVIOUS. THERE ARE 4 SMALL GLAZE SKIPS ON SIDE (PRODUCTION) AND WHAT APPEARS TO BE A 1/2" INTERIOR HAIRLINE AT THE SEAM/MOLD LINE. IT'S SUPER TIGHT AND FAINT AS A PENCIL MARK. VASE IS A VERY NICE ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION!
Another McCoy Butterfly line vase! This one is blue, measures 6”, and bottom is marked NM (overlapping), USA. Lovely mold detail and is in super condition – from my collection.

This listing has a beautiful butterfly shaped vase from McCoy’s butterfly line of the 1940s! vase is marked USA, is a gorgeous matte aqua color, measured 5 ¾” tall (at tallest), 7 ¼” long (at longest), and 3 ½” wide (at widest). It has some production flaws/imperfections – there is a dark spot under glaze (see photos) and some typical glaze irregularities...
