10k Yellow Gold Carved Shell Vintage Cameo Ring

Like the majority of the gold and silver rings just listed, this vintage cameo ring is from my personal jewelry collection.

I purchased this ring years ago at an antique shop, never wore, time to share!

Ring is size 6. The carved shall cameo measures 5/8” x 1/2". The band measures 1/16” at bottom and is marked BDA 10k.

Internet research indicates BDA as the mark used by Budlong, Docherty, and Armstrong; located in Providence Rhode Island and in business from 1850 to 1971.

Photo shows some dark dots on the shell cameo. I gently cleaned it and they appear to be inherent to the shell. Do be aware these are very, very small – they appear larger in the close-up photos.
