This is a great item -- it's an aluminum and wood vintage stereoscope made by H.C. White Company!
The aluminum has very pretty stamped floral design and the wood is a pretty warm honey color.
The metal surrounding the lens is stamped: Pat'd. July 28.03.
Stamped into the wood (on underneath side) is: H.C. White Co., Makers Stereoscopes and Stereographs, North Bennington, VT., U.S.A.
Stereoscope is in great condition but it is not mint condition. There are some scratches on the aluminum and the felt liner is missing from around the edges (I would surmise the felt deteriorated from age). There are a few dings in the wood.
It has no serious problems in appearance or use. It is fully functional and operational and is an interesting piece of vintage history.
