BALLOON LADY VINTAGE COOKIE JAR BY POTTERY GUILD OF AMERICA

What a pretty cookie jar! This is the "Balloon Lady" jar made by Pottery Guild.

She measures 12" tall (to top of her head) and is marked on bottom: Hand Painted, Pottery Guild of America. She has beautiful colors and attention to detail but like a lot of jars where the lid will only "seat" in one position she has a couple slice type chips. They are on lid rim/edge -- one is 1/4" and the other is 3/8".

Someone began a repair (there is a filler material that has hardened and has been sanded smooth), however, they did not attempt to paint/touch up with color.

The lid also has a super tight interior hairline and although it measures approximately 1 1/2" in length, it's tight and faint as a pencil mark or a craze. I do not rate it as detrimental to use or to appearance.

This is a beautiful jar that has been a part of my collection for many years. I purchased it as described in this listing and it is priced to reflect being a little imperfect.
