VINTAGE EVENING BAG WITH BEADED ROSES

I purchased this lovely evening bag at an estate sale and it was listed as a “knit bag with beaded flowers” – that was very incorrect! The body and carry strap of this purse are made of navy blue color material and it is covered with beadwork – not knitting! The roses, leaves, and the center navy blue band are obviously beads and what appears to be knitting at first glance is actually more beadwork and it’s beautiful! They are small clear beads with a pink bead center – assembled to look like many little flowers – with navy blue spacer beads between each “flower”. Difficult to explain – we have taken a close-up so you can see. Purse measures 6 ½” x 7 ¼” and is in wonderful condition. There are some loose threads hanging at bottom tassel and the purse ruffle (top) has a few little spots that I would surmise to be from spray perfume. Handbag is nice and clean and is a super addition to any collection!!
