Neat little pincushion that is similar to one shown on page 20 of “Sewing Tools and Trinkets” by Helen Thompson! The one in book shows a bird on a whale’s tale while this one is a cute brown owl perched on a turtle’s head. Made of glass and in very good condition. One side of the cushion is sun faded, there is a ¼” smooth chip on end, and the “bump” on turtle’s neck has a line that is almost like a break but it did not come off and is not all loose so I surmise it is a production blemish (per reference book, this is blown glass). Really cute and collectible sewing item but it’s not perfect and is priced accordingly.
