Not only was I fortunate enough to purchase several clothing items of old store stock from a long closed local dry goods store but I also purchased the majority of the “decorating” items!
These lanterns are part of that purchase and were used to decorate the store.
Lanterns measure 17” long, 12 ¼” wide (at widest), and are made of lightweight cardboard (same feel as heavier weight egg cartons or the dividers used between layers of fruit).
Lanterns have some storage evidence but nothing serious – they’re in extremely good condition considering their composition and age. The dry goods store closed in the early 1970’s and I’m certain these items were used many years prior to closing.
