Vintage White Hanky with Rickrack Edging

This is one of the most unusual and work intensive hankies we have in inventory!

We’ve taken a close-up photo but I don’t believe the workmanship can be fully appreciated so I’ll try to describe -- the hanky measures 11” x 11”, the edging is another ¾”.

The rick-rack is a double row, shaped into circles – the center of each has a spoke type chain stitch which forms the circle shape and a chain stitch connects each circle shape together.

Difficult to explain and, in today’s busy world, almost impossible to believe the amount of time someone invested in this beautiful handkerchief!
