Le Vitrail International Exposition Paris 1925
Le Vitrail A L'Exposition Internationale Des Arts Decoratifs Paris 1925. Edited by Jacque Gruber. Published by C.H. Moreau, Librairie D'Art Industriel, 8 Rue De Prague, Paris, 1926. Consists of a folded page which contains publication information, introduction and content, 42 gravure plates, 11 hand colored, measuring 13" by 10", loose in a cloth backed pictorial boards portfolio. The plates include windows by Auguste Matisse, Jacque Gruber, Maurice Denis, Francois Chigot, Louis Balmet, Louis Barillet, G.L. Claude, Jean Gaudin, Albert Gsell, Marcel Imbs, and others. The paper covered boards have some stains and their is water staining to the cloth spine. There is an inked inscription inside the front of the portfolio. The plates themselves are all present and in good condition with some minor edge staining which does not mar the plate itself. Altogether a wonderful piece of art history for those interested in French art of the early 20's.
