Old Foot Form Patented Darner
This wonderfully smooth darner has the shape of the toe of the foot. The wood is smooth and has a wonderful patina from use.There is some red paint spot on the top.It has some marks from use.This is a small foot form and may have been for the mending of children's socks. Victorian carved bone-sewing tool,carved crochet hook.Measures 4 7/8" long. Most of these lovely hand carved bone needlework tools were made out of whalebone by sailors while they were away from home, bringing them back as gifts to their wives and sweethearts!
