Sterling Green Band Restaurant Small Oval Serving Platter or Gravy Boat Underplate . This vintage piece of restaurantware, made by Sterling China measures 8 3/8" x 5 1/2". This is Sterling's pattern #STR22 described as 2 Green Bands and Verge, no decals. The vintage piece is circa 1950s and the back has the company's name on a banner with its green logo stating "Sterling – Vitrified China – East Liverpool, Ohio - ". This is a stamped mark found in the Sterling China Directories of marks dating from the 1950s according to Lehner's Encyclopedia of U.S. Mark on Pottery, Porcelain and Clay.
