Featured for your enjoyment is another wonderful item from Minnesotas Attic. This wonderful
old jewelry box is called Lacquer Ware. It was very popular in the 50s during the Korean War.
These are general made of an excellent paper mache with a lacquer finish. Hard to tell on this one
if it is paper mache or wood. Either way it has a pitch black lacquer finish with a hand painted

Featured for your enjoyment is a lovely old jewelry casket or box. This has a stunning picture of a 4 masted sailing ship applied in brass on the lid. It was then painted in the blue and ivory you see. It is just beautiful! The lid does have the corners splitting a bit where they meet the bottom. Due to the thin brass lid and heavy applied decorations. It is simply marked Japan. Stands 2 1/4 tall by 6 1/2 long and 3 3/4 deep.

Featured for your enjoyment is a stunning old brooch. This is shaped like a star fish. It is then covered in blue, white, green, red and amber stones. Down the center of each leg is a row of pearls. I truly think these are real pearls! Some are missing near the center. It looks like about 9 all together. Looking under a glass it looks like one amber stone may be missing also.
