J. Bourne & Sons Vitreous Stone Medical Bottle England

Featured for your enjoyment is this wonderful old salt glazed stone bottle made by J. Bourne and Sons Limited. This is hand turned around the 1890’s. It is marked Vitreous Stone Bottle, J. Bourne and Sons Limited, Patenees, Denby Pottery, Near Derby, P. & J. Arnold, London England. It has a small spout as these were used for medical purposes such as in drug stores. There is a small shallow chip on one side of the spout. The name is impressed into the wet clay. It was then salt glazed. Stands 7 1/4” tall.
