Punch Work Embroidery Peacock Picture

Featured for your enjoyment is a neat old picture. This is called punch work embroidery. It is a sort of tufted embroidery. This is of a peacock. It is done on a velour backing with a full view of a peacock sitting on a branch. Now the backing does have one small tear near the top. Could be glued to the backing board and not seen. The darker ring around the bird is from maybe while they worked it? Just not sure. It is glued to the backing board then framed. Could use a cleaning. Still a very lovely picture. Measures 26 1/4” tall by 17 3/4” wide.
