Featured for your enjoyment is another wonderful item from Minnesota’s Attic. This is a one of
a kind W.W.II scalpel. The handle is made of a long piece of shrapnel. I do believe the entire
scalpel is from this single piece of shrapnel as I can not seem to find where the blade attaches to
the handle. There is an Iron Cross made into the blade where it meets the handle. A piece of
copper or brass is near the end of the handle. You will never find another like this. My guess is it
was trench art made for the company doctor. It is very sharp and will be shipped in a small bow
with a cork on the blade. This is to insure no one is accidentally cut while in transit. Measures
just a hair over 6 1/2” long.
