This is a rare find indeed! This is a First Edition – First Printing of a music book titled “A Treasury Of Stephen Foster.” Deems Taylor wrote the Forward in the book and the historical notes are by John Tasker Howard. The beautiful illustrations are by William Sharp. Ray Lev and Dorothy Berliner Commins did the arrangements for piano. The copyright is 1946.
This book is a very unusual find. It is an auction catalog of items belonging to Karl Freund Arts, Inc. and other owners that were to be auctioned on February 19, 1938. The title of the auction book is "Art For The Garden." American Art Association – Anderson Galleries, Inc. of New York published the book and I am guessing were also handling the auction of these items.
This book is a short play by Emma Gary Wallace and Adelainde B. Meade titled "Why Photographers Go Mad." The Willis N. Bugbee Company of Syracuse, New York, published the book that has a 1925 copyright.
