This vintage military postcard shows a gunner in a U. S. Navy Fast Fighter. The caption reads: Bird’s-Eye-View of the "Man With the Gun." This is a wartime postcard sent from a soldier while on watch to his mother in Moody, Texas. The postmark is from Athens, Georgia, and is dated February 7 (I believe), 1944. This is a nice vintage military patch. The patch is made of a navy-blue woolen material. At the top center of the patch is a white embroidered Eagle. Below the Eagle is the medic symbol. Two solid red bars are embroidered at the bottom of the patch.
