This is a used matchbook cover advertising Bright Star Batteries made by Bright Star Battery Company of Clifton, New Jersey.

The matches have been removed.  This matchbook is very old; however, I do not have an exact date on it.  I am estimating it is from the 1940’s or 1950’s.

The matchbook is good condition with some wear along the edges.  There is also a stain in the middle of the cover.

This is a nice postcard with a poem titled "Lord, Bless This House" printed on it. The poem is by James Dillet Freeman. Unity School of Christianity of Unity Village, Missouri published the card.

There are lots of cute greeting cards available today, but you would be hard-pressed to find one any cuter than these six note cards. The front side is an olive green in color with a roll of brightly colored flowers on each side of the card. In the middle sits a very precious white dog (a poodle, I think) with flowers on top of its head.

The six note cards are blank inside. Five of the cards come with the original envelope. I have added an extra envelope, however it is about 1/2" wider...

This is a nice vintage advertisement dated April, 1945, for Boeing – designers of the B-29 Superfortress, the Flying Fortress and the new Stratocruiser. The ad shows a picture of the C-97 Army transport which had an average speed of 383 miles an hour with tail winds averaging approximately 45 mph.

World War II was still raging when this advertisement was printed. Underneath the picture it says, "Finish the Fight – with War Bonds."
