The card is address to Hope in South Acton, Massachusetts, from her friend Marjorie. Marjorie was writing to say she was having fun playing in the sand and "today" was the first day she got in the water with her bathing suit.

This item is a vintage postcard with the artwork done by Fred L. Cavally (1878-1962). According to a note included with the card, Mr. Cavally worked for Thayer Company. The artwork shows Mr. Cavally’s trademark initials (F.L.C.) in the lower left corner.

This is a very pretty vintage postcard that states "Heartiest Congratulations." The design is copyrighted by Heymann in 1912. The postcard was printed in Germany.

All parts of the picture and wording on the card are embossed adding a lovely three-dimensional accent to the postcard. The colors are still very bright with the outer edges of the roses lined in a metallic gold. The gold portion of the container holding the roses and the background lines are also metallic gold.
