This is a very nice map of the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area. It was distributed by Gulf Service Stations whose motto was "Stop At The Sign Of The Orange Disc."

These is no date on the map, however, from the graphics & products listed, I believe it to be from the late 1930's or 1940's. It was bundled with the Washington D.C. tour book (my item Book210) which has a date of 1933. The copyright was by Rand McNally & Company...

This is a nice little book with a copyright of 1951, however, this is a 1952 printing that has been revised and enlarged. The work "parakeet" is spelled with two "r's" throughout the book, so I have used the word exactly as it is in the book.

This is a nice ad showing an American G.I., a prisoner of war, who has just received a "care" package with American products inside. The advertisements goes on to say how important a nutritious diet is to these men. National Dairy regularly supplied products that were included in these packages.

The reverse side is an advertisement for MacMillan Petroleum Corporation. It guarantees that us of the company"s Ring-Free Motor Oil will save you gasoline.

This is a nice vintage postcard to Elizabeth from her Sunday School Class telling her she was missed. The card has a very nice color graphic of young people walking up a stairway into the church.

The postmark is from Paducah, Kentucky, and has a date of October 25, 1939. The one cent stamp used for postage is in very good condition.

The postcard is in very good condition with very light wear to the corners. The colors on the graphic is still bright and colorful...
