This is such a nice vintage advertisement dated April, 1945, for Bell Telephone Systems. The message, "If only swtichboards grew on trees!" It shows a U. S. Marine setting up a telephone swtichboard n an island "somewhere in the Pacific."

This type of advertising was common during World War II – a way for businesses to advertise and still support the troops!

This is a nice instruction hobby book titled "How To Twine Baskets and Such" by George Smith of Sierra Madre, California. Craft Course Publishers of Rosemead, California, published the book that has a 1976 copyright.

Instructions are included for all of the items seen on the front cover. Also included are instructions for an Ethiopian Jug Lamp. Very cool!
