This advertising duo comes from a September 1958 National Geographic Magazine.

The first side is an advertisement for Douglas DC-8 Jetliner. I love the picture in this advertisement. The ad states, "DC-8 introduces you to Her Serene Highness - the Stratosphere."

This book will tell you everything you wanted to know about Ballroom Dancing. It was written by Mel and Helen Day of Boise, Idaho. The book was written as a memory guide for those who had taken dance lessons, but also to introduce the variety of pattern & rhythm to be found in Social or Ballroom dancing.

It is Greek to me, but the book gives instruction on dances such as the Foxtrot, Jitterbug, Tango, Mambo and more...

This is very impressive diploma once you discover that it was issued for completion of elementary school.

The diploma is for Lucile Fields and was issued May 19, 1932, in Prairie View, Oklahoma - Seminole County. Jack Cannon was the County Superintendent and Orion Jennings was the teacher. There is a nice Oklahoma State Seal dated 1907 on the back side of the diploma.

The diploma is secured in an outer card-stock, brown folder by brown cord...

This booklet is the "Employee Insurance Plan" of Kimbell Milling and Associated Companies and the Estate of Kay Kimbell. The plan was through Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. The plan went into effect July 1, 1964.

To show how times have changed, the plan carried a benefit for Polio Expense.

The booklet is in good condition - inside and out. The front cover has some small stains in several places. The inside title page also has a couple of stains...

I am sure the feature article in this issue of Esquire Magazine will raise eyebrows. The main title is, "The Use and Abuse of Billy Graham."

Over a picture of Graham and his associates praying after a session with President Truman is the statement, "After an unpromising White House meeting, Truman ordered that Graham not be admitted anywhere near his vicinity ever again."

This is a nice issue of Family Circle Magazine dated November 1976. It is an extra thick issue with lots of recipes, gift ideas, needle-work projects, and articles.

This 1975 issue of the Farmers' Almanac is full of wit and wisdom! The Farmers' Almanac was practically the Bible for farmers in the past - telling them the best times to plant crops, when to harvest and other tidbits.

This issue was a complimentary copy given by CF&I Steel Corporation of Pueblo, Colorado.

This issue has some very funny items in it. There is a chart on employee performance - made in jest - that gave me a couple of good giggles...

This is a very nice cookbook titled "Flame Favorites - Tested Recipes, Cooking Charts, Equipment Facts." The cookbook was prepared by the Home Economics Department of Lone Star Gas Company. There is no copyright in the book, however, based on the graphics in the cookbook and other cookbooks purchased with this one, I believe it to be from the 1950's.

The cookbook starts out with the Definitions of Cookery Processes and has a nice chart of Measures and Equivalents...

This is a nice 1969 instruction booklet for knit fashions. It includes instructions for a sleeveless cable cardigan, tunic vest, long pullover, Beret and more.

The booklet includes 21 pages of instructions. It is in good condition with some minor wear to the outer cover. There is one small tear on the front, upper left corner...

This is a copy of a vintage Ford Times Magazine dated April 1955. It is full of nice pictures and articles that reflect life in simpler times.
