This photograph has almost a haunting feel to it! It shows a man sitting on top of filled bags loaded onto a four-wheel wagon. The wagon is being pulled by a camel in Karachi, Pakistan.

In the bottom margin, it says, "103. – Camel Cart – Karachi (Pak.)

Though this item is the same size as a postcard, the back side is blank. Except for the information printed at the bottom, it looks just like a photograph and has a gloss finish to the surface...

This is such a cool advertisement dated April, 1945, for New York Central System Railroad. The ad shows a cross-section of the train’s cars and states, " Who’s Who on the ‘Century" . . . calling the roll aboard the flagship of New York Central’s wartime fleet." These trains were used to move war traffic.

The reverse side features advertising for Matson Lines to Hawaii and the South Pacific. "Delights to come."

This is a nice vintage advertisement dated April, 1945, for Boeing – designers of the B-29 Superfortress, the Flying Fortress and the new Stratocruiser. The ad shows a picture of the C-97 Army transport which had an average speed of 383 miles an hour with tail winds averaging approximately 45 mph.

This is a very interesting advertisement dated April, 1945, for Lockheed Aircraft Corporation of Burbank, California. The top of the ad reads, "Der Gabelschwanz Teufel" which means "Fork-tailed devil" – or Lockheed P-38 Lightning. German pilots who had been lucky enough to escape its wrath named the plane.
