This is a group of three very old paper Valentine’s Day Cards. I am guessing they are from the 1940’s. All are very sweet!

The cards include:

1. A boy at a microphone. The verse: "Calling my Valentine. (inside) I wish I were a RADIO with AERIAL and WIRE - - - I’d send waves of LOVE to you and set our heart on FIRE!"

2. A boy and girl under an umbrella. The verse: "Rain or shine – You’re my Valentine."

3. A girl with flowers. The verse: "I’ve ‘PICKED’ you to be my Valentine ...

1. A girl and boy making pies. The verse: "I’m ‘PIE-NING’ for you . . . . Be my Valentine."

2. A girl and boy caught in a flood. The verse: "Sitting here waiting and waiting. Oh gee! Why don’t you come and rescue me? My Valentine!"

This is a vintage Valentine’s Day card for a teacher. The message, "Please take ‘note’ teacher – you’re perfect in my book!"

The card is in good condition. There are two score lines on the card. These were put on old cards so they could be folded to fit inside the envelopes. The top score mark has been folded (just below the tips to the two upper hearts). The second score has not been folded...

This is a vintage Valentine’s Card – Circa mid-1050’s. The card shows a nice young man crowning his lovely lady and states, "On February 14th, you’ll be the Queen of Hearts!"

The card is in very good condition – especially considering its age. All the gold portions are gold glitter. There is a very light fracture in the area where the boy's hair meets his forehead. This card was in a group of many others – one hand dated on the back as Feb. 14, 1957.

This is one in a series of Navy Training Courses titled "Aircraft Materials – Navpers 10330-A." The book was prepared by Naval Air Technical Training Command. The original copyright was 1949, however, it was reprinted with minor changes in 1953.

This is a postcard showing the American Red Cross Building in Camp Shelby, Mississippi. The postmark is May 18, 1944. There is also a very nice canceled 1¢ stamp.

The postcard is to Lucky from Mary. She is wishing Lucky a happy birthday and states she enjoyed her trip to Mississippi but will take Jersey any day. Mary also liked being with her "honey."

The postcard is in very good condition with some minor wear to the edges and corners.

This is a pretty old postcard titled "Moonlight." It shows Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania.

The card is to Betty Jane from Shirley saying how much she is enjoying her vacation in Pennsylvania. The postcard has an August 1941 postmark from Conneaut Lake. There is also a very nice 1¢ canceled stamp.

The postcard is in good condition. There is some minor edge wear and the lower left corner has been dinged.

This is a wonderful old picture of the Post Office in Cincinnati, Ohio. The postcard is addressed to Miss Weaver in East Liverpool, Ohio. It is postmarked December 2, 1913. There is also a very nice canceled 1¢ stamp on the card.

The card is in good condition considering its age. There is some wear to the edges and corners. Please note a small portion of the lower right corner is missing. The upper left corner also has a canceled stamp on it – an old practice years ago.

This is a very unusual postcard – both in the size and the way it was made. The front side of the postcard shows a hillbilly woman with her foot on the head of a submissive hillbilly man. The quote states, "You’re Always On My Mind."

This card is to Sharon from Bobby letting her know that he is away attending the funeral of his great grandmother. The postcard is addressed to Fort Worth, Texas, and is postmarked from Shelbyville, Tennessee, in August 1960. There is also a very nice ...

This is a very old postcard from 1908 of Yellowstone National Park. It shows Red Rock from the bottom of the canyon. The postcard is by Raphael Tuck & Sons in Saxony.

Miss A. M. Pearce of Elkton, Maryland, received this card that was postmarked in Cecilton, Maryland, on May 22, 1908. G.W.W. could not resist the temptation to use the front bottom portion of the card to tell Miss Pearce that her pansies had out-performed those that Miss Pearce had the year before.
