This 1960 calendar featuring Hotpoint Appliances will jet you back 50+ years when the "in" kitchen was full of appliances in turquoise, pink, yellow and brown! The calendar is from Oil City Iron Works in Corsicana, Texas. Each month features a state-of-the-art kitchen showcasing Hotpoint appliances in all the latest colors. The original owner has written some notes on some of the dates. I loved the ones written in January. Apparently a move is taking place. The notes read: 24th - Moved most of the day. 25th - Finally made it. What a mess packing. 26th - Work Work. 27th - And more of the same. And on it goes for several more days. February continues the "move" notes. On February 10th the note reads: Think we might make it now. You almost feel the optimism! Overall the calendar is in good condition. It folds over in the middle. Both sides of the outer cover show some wear and have darkened some with age. The interior is very clean - no dog-ears. There is minor wear along the edges. The only writing is the original owner's notes in some of the date panels. They are fun to read! This would make a great gift for someone born in 1960 or just a nice piece of nostalgia for a collector!
