Texas One-Party Politics In 1956 - O. Douglas Weeks

Politics are in full-swing with the up-coming election in November. Now might be a good time to study up on politics of the past!

This is a vintage book titled "Texas One-Party Politics in 1956." The book was written by O. Douglas Weeks, Institute of Public Affairs, The University of Texas at Austin. It has a copyright of 1957. This book is from the Public Affairs Series Number 32. The cover has a two headed donkey ? one wearing a sign that says "Adlai" ? the other has a sign that says "Ike."

Both the Democratic and Republican parties are discussed from 1952 through 1956. In includes information about the party conventions and other issues.

Overall, the book is in very good condition. The outer soft cover shows some minor wear on the edges. A portion of the left side of the book is sun-faded. There is a hole in the front cover and the title page. (see photo) The interior pages are clean ? no writing or dog-ears. The book measures 9x6" in size and has 50 pages including the index.

This is a very interesting piece of political memorabilia!
