Children's Activities For Home & School Magazine - 1952

This Children's magazine was celebrating its 18th year with this issue dated January 1952. It is full of activities for children. We were all easier to entertain back then with no cable TV, video games or computers to play with in our spare time.

This would make a nice gift for someone born January, 1952, or for someone that read this magazine as a child.

You'll feel a bit nostalgic when you see the nice black and white illustrations. A short story about Rory and the Red Sled is very nice. There is lots of information and pictures about animals and illustrations on how to make things.

The magazine is in good condition. The outer cover has darkened some with age and shows some wear. Kathleen wrote her name and address on the top of the front cover. The interior pages are clean, though Kathleen did draw in the drawing lessons area. The markings have been erased carefully, but the pencil indentions are still visible in some places. The interior pages are still very white - a surprise for this type of paper at this age. The lower right corners have been bent slightly from wear.
