This is a very nice issue of Country Music Magazine from October 1980 featuring the Red-Headed Stranger, Willie Nelson, himself. The title page reads: Willie Nelson: Being A Movie Star Sure Beats Working. The article discusses Willie"s role in the movie Honeysuckle Rose. The article about Rosanne Cash, "Don"t Label Rosanne Cash," discusses the influence her father, Johnny Cash, had on her and her music. It is a personal glimpse into her life. (See also the Country Music magazine dedicated to Johnny Cash - my item "Mag 34") Vassar Clements fans will enjoy "Vassar Clements - A Gentle Man With Music In His Soul." You"ll see a picture of Webb Pierce"s guitar-shaped swimming pool in "The Guitar-Shaped Adventures of Webb Pierce". In the Record Reviews section, you"ll read the reviews for the LPs of the day such as Soldier Of Fortune by Tom T. Hall, Friday Night Blues by John Conlee, Horizon by Eddie Rabbitt, A Legend And His Lady by Eddy Arnold and more. There are nice full-page advertisements for Gibson Guitar Company, Yamaha Guitars, The Navy, and more. The magazine is in very good condition - inside and out. The front cover shows some surface wear and the back cover has a very small tear at the top edge. The interior is very clean - no writing or dog-ears.
