This little cookbook is straight from Cowtown - a.k.a. Fort Worth, Texas. It features the favorite recipes of some of Fort Worth"s favorite people - a nice cookbook and a nice piece of Fort Worth, Texas, memorabilia!The cookbook was published for the benefit of Fort Worth Girls" Club. Cover art is by Mike Tyson. This is a first printing dated 1984. Some of the people contributing recipes include (1) Don Edwards, singer & composer, (2) Jim Wright, former Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, (3) Louis Zapata, Fort Worth City Council, (4) Alan Teichelman, TCU football player, (5) Mike Renfro, Dallas Cowboy, (6) W. G. Marquardt, Texas Electric Service Company President, (6) Macko & Wacko - a.k.a. Mac Curtis & Tom Wayne, DJ"s at KXOL 1360 AM radio, (7) Frances Garmon, head coach of TCU"s women"s basketball program, (8) Catherine Adamski, Judge of 360th Judicial District of Texas in 1984, and more. Some of the recipes included: Shepherd Pie, Aunt Helen's Meat Loaf, Dill Pickle Pork Chops, Georgia Pecan Pie, Popcorn Balls, Mexican Chicken, Bran Muffins, Pickled Shrimp, and more. Each page shows a picture of the "favorite", a short bio, and the recipe they submitted. The cookbook is in good condition - inside and out. The interior pages are clean - no writing or dog-ears. Because of the tightness of the plastic ring binder on the left - the cover does not cover about 1/4" of the right hand side pages.
