This is a very nice decorative plate from the Holly Hobbie Commemorative Edition Series made by American Greeting Corporation of Cleveland. The plate features an adorable picture of a little pig-tailed girl sitting in front of the fireplace with her arm around her yellow tabby cat. The stockings are hung - waiting for Santa?s arrival. Above the scene it says, "Happy memories warm the heart." Across the bottom is written "Christmas 1972." Around the edge of the plate is a lovely border of fruit, holly, mistletoe and pine branches. The plate background is off-white in color. The plate measures 10 1/8" across and is in very good condition ? no chips or cracks. This would make an excellent gift for someone born or perhaps got married on Christmas, 1972. The plate is gift quality.
