This is a very nice First Edition Cookbook by Sandra Oddo. It contains recipes from the the 19th Century that were rescued, reinterpreted, and commented upon by Sandra Oddo. The book has a copyright of 1972. It has been signed by the author and dedicated to Margaret & Roe Bartle. Also included, a Wealth of Wisdom Concerning Household Management and a special section of Efficacious Home Remedies. The jacket design was by Muni Lieblein. Some of the recipes include: Sour Milk Brown Bread, Washington Cake, Fruit-Bread Pudding, Apple Johnny Cake, Beef Rissoles, Baked Quinces, Grandmother Don"s Lemon Cake, Carrots With Curry, Strawberry Pie, Curds & Whey, Caramel Cream, Velvet Cakes, and more. The outer paper cover is tattered along all edges and has some tears on the edges, as well. It has done its job well, however, as the hardback cover is in very good condition with some very minor wear to the binding edges and corners. The interior pages are "like new" clean - no writing (except for the author signature and message mentioned above) or dog-ears. The book has 504 pages including the indexes.
