This little book is a former school library book published by G. P. Putnam"s Sons of New York. It is titled, "Let's Go To a Police Station" with a copyright of 1957.
The book explains the roll policemen play in the community - on and off of the job. It explains a policeman's duties, his training, and other aspects of the job. There are many nice illustrations as seen in the extra photos.
The hard back cover has wear on the edges and the two ends on the binding side, but is held together well. The inside covers, both front and back, have school names stamped on them. The back inside cover still has a library pocket and card inside with dates in 1963 and 1964.
The interior pages are very clean. There were a couple of light pencil marks, but they have been erased and are not noticeable. Two pages have tiny dog-ears - less than 1/4".
This is a very unique children"s book!
