Let's go back to 1965 in the vintage Look Magazine - back when Liz and Burton were an item. The date is March 9, 1956. The article is titled "King and Queen - How they rule their roost."
Bette Davis fans will enjoy the article about her titled "The Pro." There are six pages of great Bette Davis pictures, including one from "Hush . . . Hush Sweet Charlotte."
The Post Office had introduced the Zip Code - but was having a hard time convincing mailers to use it. There is a full page advertisement with the title "Meet Mr. Zip" explaining how to use the new zip code and what it will do for you.
Basketball fans will enjoy the article and pictures of Joe Lapchick: Basketball"s Biggest Man.
Robert Kennedy answers some blunt questions in an article by the same title. He says, "I am so well aware of being disliked by many that it no longer surprises or disturbs me."
You'll enjoy to many vintage advertisements by Stokely Van Camp"s Vegetables, Westinghouse Electric Stove, Schlitz Beer, Chevrolet Chevy II, Buick Skylark Gran Sport, and many more.
The magazine is in good condition considering its age. The front cover has some light surface wear. There is wear and small tears along the outer edges. There is a tear down the binding seam from top to about half of the magazine. The binding edge also as some small holes on the lower edge. The interior pages are in very good condition - no writing or dog-ears. The outer edges have turned dark due to age. The magazine has a light musty smell that magazines get when stored, however, it is not strong or unpleasant. I will do all possible to air out the magazine before sold.
